Starting at BIOS,there are newer one also for RTX 4090/4080 I just bought another Intel system for the RTX 4090 and sold the AMD gear.įixes are out now,I would try them before switching. What I did when I switched out RTX 3090 on AMD 7700X which was great combination and put in RTX 4090 before fixes were out. There are motherboard BIOS updates for fixes. It is the RTX 4090 that is the real problem with the AMD gear. Also switching to Intel still have weird quirks. or debating if i want to cut my losses, switch to Intel, and try to resell this motherboard and CPU. I'm to the point where I'm debating switching to a different manufacturers motherboard, since I've read a lot of people have basically the same exact issue with the same board. Went ahead with it, and it restored it to before I installed Ryzen Master. At one point, it wouldn't successfully reboot whether EXPO was enabled or not, to the point where Windows Automatic Recovery kicked in and suggested restoring to a previously working state. It would blue screen upon rebooting if i had EXPO enabled in BIOS. Everything tested fine, timings seemed correct. The other day I thought "Let's try installing Ryzen Master and see what kind of timings it's recommending, and maybe try its built-in stress test". Even when I only was running two sticks of RAM, it's like it goes and tests the memory timings every single time it restarts. Whether I change anything in BIOS or not. Every single reboot takes a minute or more, no matter if i have EXPO enabled or not. I feel like my new build has been giving me such a headache ever since I built it.įeel like the only RELIABLE thing has been the 4090 *knocks on wood*.
